OUR HOUSE
The majority of our 37 rooms are single occupancy with the opportunity for one to be shared. Each room has en-suite facilities and residents can enjoy their own privacy as they wish. Everyone is encouraged to personalise their own room. Pictures, ornaments, books, radios, TVs, furniture, etc are all welcome. Naturally soft furnishings must comply with fire regulations; electrical items are safety checked on arrival and annually at no cost to the resident. Many residents have their own personal telephone line and this can be installed for anyone requiring one.
DEMENTIA CARE
AT BILTON HOUSE CLARICE COOPER WING
The dining room has a cafe theme with a reminiscence shop in the corner which inspires conversation and activity.
The pleasant lounge provides a comfortable meeting place for residents to relax and chat.
A small sheltered self-contained sensory garden has been created with water feature, wind chimes, fragrant herbs and bright borders.
A newly created Sensory Room is available situated off the Clarice Dining Area.
We encourage residents and their relatives to put together memory boxes which can be wall mounted to stir memories. Books of life are also put together. In this way we get to know the resident better and both provide a talking point for staff and visitors.
The Lounge
The main lounge on the ground floor comfortably seats our residents, many of whom enjoy sitting just for a chat. It is also used for entertainment, Wednesday Fellowship and Sunday Services. There are also other smaller lounges available on both floors of the home.
The Main Dinning Room
The new dining room seats all our residents from the main house for their meals. Our Chef and Cook produce varied and nutritious menus with real home cooking. A visual choice of foods is offered at all mealtimes. Residents can celebrate their birthdays with home-made birthday cake.
